Reverse Osmosis Membrane Changeout

The challenge

A municipal reverse osmosis treatment train required a complete membrane changeout to restore performance, executed within a tight six-day shutdown window under strict contamination control.

Scope of work

• Shutdown, isolation, depressurization, and zero-pressure verification
• Controlled removal and staging of 400 spent FilmTec 440i elements
• Pressure-vessel inspection of closures, adapters, seals, and O-rings
• Installation of 420 FilmTec Eco Platinum 440i elements to approved loading
• Vessel reassembly to manufacturer torque and closure requirements
• Flushing, leak-check, and startup support with QA/QC hold points

Outcome

The RO train was returned to service on schedule with all 420 replacement elements installed and verified vessel-by-vessel, supported by documented QA/QC at each hold point.
